Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's work in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC.
